This was a self indulgent project.
I wanted a porthole window in my house so I built a panel to fit a wooden frame I purchased online.
The dimensions were fixed and for the design I chose Art Nouveau as my inspiration.
This panel kind of evolved on the work bench as I could change lines, lead thickness, colours, patterns and textures to please myself.
I have spent a lot of time in Glasgow over the years and some visitors to my site may see a Charles Rennie Macintosh influence here.
The final result, seen in the bottom photograph and then photographed in situ for my logo design, is a very striking piece of work and gets a lot of compliments.
It combines some clashing, contrasting, modern and salvaged glass, not everyone's choice but it gives me a lot of pleasure and satisfaction.
